Student answer (Band 5.0)
nowadays, many people choose to be self-employed rather than to work for a company or organization. In my opinion,I think there are many reasons so people leave jobs and wanted to become self employed.
Many companies and organizations have different rules and regulations for their employ to follow. But some peoples not want to do work under someone because they have a differet attitude and style of working.so, they left companies.Other issue is that some organizations not appriciate their employs on their good work and they only give favour only to their favourite employs. The big and most important drawback of many companies is low sallery or income. For example, people work day and night and even 12 hours duty in many organizations but they donot have handsome sallery according their hard duty. They givetoo much input to their work and receives low output in salery form.
On other hand people also not get benefits from their selg-employed.If they have no good idea, proper planing, proper place and invesment. They could be failed. But some people work better who have qualites of leadership, good management, proper planning, leading power, invesment and good relationship with others.
Inconclusion,in developing countries like pakistan its its more difficult to do self-employ.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify several relevant reasons for choosing self-employment, including wanting to work independently, dissatisfaction with employers’ recognition, and low pay. You also mention risks such as lacking a plan, investment, or a suitable business idea. However, the task is only partially addressed: the disadvantages are brief, and the final point about developing countries is not explained or supported. The response also contains 178 words, so it is 72 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop and illustrate your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain each side more fully and add a relevant example, such as irregular income or responsibility for finding customers.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: the opening introduces the topic, the middle paragraphs discuss reasons and risks, and a concluding sentence is included. Linking phrases such as “For example” and “On other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is not always clear. The first main paragraph moves from workplace rules to appreciation and then salary without clearly distinguishing these as separate reasons, while the second paragraph shifts between disadvantages and qualities needed for success. Some links are inaccurate or repetitive, and the conclusion introduces a new claim rather than summarising the discussion. Use one paragraph for reasons and another for disadvantages, with clear topic sentences and more precise transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “self-employed,” “rules and regulations,” “leadership,” and “investment,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “handsome salary,” “hard duty,” “give favour only to their favourite employs,” and “self-employ.” Spelling errors such as “appriciate,” “sallery,” and “planing” are also noticeable. Aim to use more natural employment and business expressions, and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, “low salary” and “long working hours” would express your intended meanings more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “If they have no good idea…”. However, the range of sentence patterns is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “some peoples not want” needs a correctly formed subject and verb, while “they left companies” does not fit the surrounding present-time discussion. The conditional sentence is also incomplete as written: “If they have no good idea… They could be failed.” Punctuation and spacing around commas and full stops are inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and use a wider range of correctly controlled clauses.
