In this modern era, people are certainly aware with the significance of self-employment, they are more likely want to be self-employed: rather than to do job under the perssure of bosses and managers. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both questions: it gives reasons such as wanting to be one’s own boss, having freedom to set policies, and seeking higher earnings, then identifies financial risk and harm to family relationships as disadvantages. These points are relevant, but several are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that self-employment improves “stability of mental health” is not supported, and the example of a small business owner does not show how or why earnings would be higher. The disadvantages are also brief compared with the reasons. A clearer, consistent position and more specific explanation or examples for each main point would make the response more complete and developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has paragraphs and a broadly recognisable movement from reasons to disadvantages, so the reader can identify its main sections. However, progression within the reasons is weak: several paragraphs repeat the ideas of freedom, being one’s own boss, and building a business without clearly adding a new stage to the argument. Linking words such as “Moreover,” “Additionally,” and “However” are frequent, but sometimes do not express the relationship between ideas accurately; “However” introduces another reason in one paragraph. References such as “they” and “their” can also be unclear. Organise the reasons into fewer, distinct points, use topic sentences, and connect each explanation directly to its claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The writer attempts vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “self-employment,” “investments,” “supervision,” and “small and medium enterprises.” There is also some effort to use more expressive language, such as “build their own empire.” However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “business,” “work,” and “people,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less natural: “aware with the significance,” “business can be drowned,” and “loss of relationships.” Spelling errors are noticeable, including “perssure,” “trems,” and “succesfull.” Use more precise business vocabulary and check spelling and common word partnerships to make the ideas easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “Whereas,” and “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “people are certainly aware with the significance …, they are more likely want” joins clauses incorrectly and has an incomplete verb pattern. Other examples include “A person … even it is on small scale … he will” and “if there is any mistake happen,” where clause structure and verb forms are not controlled. Articles, agreement, and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause before adding further complexity.
