Student answer (Band 5.0)
The cause of people want to be working as a freelancer or self employed is that they don't desire to become a person like a servant. As they work for a company or an organization , they have to be followed a specific timeline 9 to 5 pm working hours just like school time. The people discourage this way of working, it loses their own identity by working under a project manager or an author. They are demtivated by the projects owners by asking them don't show thier own creativity in the products just choose the way they show them. The project owners told them to step thier back off just to ignore them.So , all these reasoning felt them like they are prisoners. Just like my own experience going previous days, I was working on a project clothing website that was given by my company according to the client the deadline must be followed but the project owner never give me th access for production and deploying of the website so , i decided to work as a freelancer. But i also faced some of the issues of being freelancer and self-employed are reducing consistency and discipline. I am working on a project Aegis AI cloud engineer that was built for the AWs azure cloud services but I am not consisitent for building the product on time to launch in the market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you suggest that people seek independence from fixed hours and managerial control, and you identify reduced consistency and discipline as disadvantages. The clothing-website example and your current cloud-engineering project make the response personally relevant. However, the reasons are repeated and not fully explained, while the disadvantage is supported by only one brief point. The response also ends without a clear concluding summary, so the overall position and main ideas remain limited in development. In addition, the response is 20 words below the required minimum, which restricts the space available to explain and support your points. Develop each answer with a clear explanation and a specific consequence or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a recognisable line of thought: you move from dissatisfaction with company work to a personal example, then mention a difficulty of freelancing. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, making the shift between reasons, experience and disadvantage hard to follow. Several links are mechanical or unclear, such as “So, all these reasoning felt them like they are prisoners,” and the repeated use of “just” does not show how ideas relate. The final sentence introduces a new project without a clear transition or conclusion. Use separate paragraphs for the reasons, disadvantages and conclusion, and connect each point with precise references and linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “freelancer,” “self-employed,” “creativity,” “deadline,” “consistency” and “discipline.” These choices show that you can discuss both workplace independence and its challenges. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make meaning difficult to interpret, for example “felt them like they are prisoners,” “project owners” where the intended role is unclear, and “reducing consistency.” Spelling errors such as “demtivated,” “thier” and “consisitent” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise workplace collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will help your ideas sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, including the explanation of fixed working hours and the account of your website project. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to follow. For example, “The cause of people want to be working” has an incorrect clause structure, while “they have to be followed a specific timeline” uses the wrong verb pattern. Tense and agreement are also inconsistent in “the project owner never give me” and “all these reasoning felt them.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly where several clauses run together. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses.
