Student answer (Band 5.0)
Recently, many individuals choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a private institute or organisation.
Firstly, there are some residents who choose to do business or start their own office to utilize their knowledge. There can be several reasons for this approch, such as there is a trend going on nowadays that people motivating others to start their own business rather than working hard for a private company or organisation. Meanwhile, many citizens believe that being self employed give them freedome from work completion pressure or there is no one to guid them through out the work. In addition to, that they can do whatever they want to as there is no one to disterb them in their work or give them instructions. They can decide their own method and time period to finish their tasks. For instance, one can give his services to the company or organisation then he needs to obey his boss or higher level employees. On the other hand if he start his own startup he is the one who decide the working hours.Although there are some risks attached with self employement, people are willing to it to earn a good amount.
Although there is also a different side of this view as there are some drawbacks like a person needs a huge amount of fundings or investment to start the business. consequently, some people need to take a loan from bank or find some investors who can invest in their business. However there are some works that can be done without a handsome amount of investment. For example, freelancing or small scale businesses.
In conclusion, some individuals choose freedome over being managed by some one else and to obey others. Although some drawbacks which they are aware of they want to earn more and do hard work for them selves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that independence, control over working hours and freedom from a manager attract people, and you identify the need for substantial start-up funding as a disadvantage. These points are relevant, and the example contrasting employment with running a start-up helps illustrate the appeal. However, the reasons are not consistently explained: the claim that self-employment frees people from “work completion pressure” is unclear, and the funding drawback is only briefly developed. The conclusion repeats the preference for freedom but does not clearly summarise the disadvantages or establish a precise overall position. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific example, and make sure the conclusion reflects both parts of the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, a paragraph about reasons, a paragraph about disadvantages and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. However, progression within the main paragraph is difficult to follow: several ideas are joined in long sentences, and the example beginning “For instance” runs into “On the other hand” without clear punctuation or a distinct contrast. Some linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanical, including “In addition to, that” and “Although there is also a different side of this view.” The final paragraph also introduces no clear summary of the funding issue. Use one main idea per paragraph, separate examples clearly, and choose linking phrases that express the relationship between ideas precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “self-employed,” “investment,” “freelancing” and “working hours,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling or collocation errors make the writing less precise. Examples include “freedome,” “approch,” “disterb,” “fundings” and “a handsome amount of investment.” Phrases such as “private institute” and “higher level employees” are also not the most natural choices in this context. Build a more accurate set of expressions for business and employment, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish independence, financial risk and workload rather than relying repeatedly on general terms such as “work” and “business.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although” and “as,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “many citizens believe that being self employed give them” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “if he start his own startup he is the one who decide” contains errors in verb forms and agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the run-on example contrasting giving services to a company with starting a business. Practise building shorter, controlled sentences first, then combine ideas using accurate subordinate clauses. Check agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation during revision.
