Student answer (Band 6.0)
Recently, some individuals decide to be their own bosses, instead of working for an industry or institution. This is because of they want to build their own establishments. The demerits of having ones one organisation can be lack of capital as well as getting suitable employees.
To start with, one of the reasons some persons want to be self employed is to build their own establishment. This is because they want to build a legacy that can be passed on to their generation. For instance, most individuals prefer to build their own factories and companies which willl yield income for them, making them to have self fulfillment in life and also, be the boss of their own without be answerable to anyone and also passing their achievements to their offspring thereby making a name for themselves.
Secondly, there are lot of disadvantages of having your own company. One of them is lack of fund. To be an employer of an organisation requires money to establish it. For instance, someone who want to own an industry like block company needs fund to build the industry where blocks will be produced and also purchasing the equipments to create blocks including the means of transporting them to consumers
Furthermore, the ability to get labourers to work in the company is another demerits of ownig your own establishment. To get trusted employees who will be willing to work on your own terms who will be remitting returns is difficult. For example, in a newly established company, so many employees from different background, with or without experience will want to work with boss, getting the right people who will fit in effectively becomes a hard task. Again the ability to differentiate those with the skills and those not skillful from the initial stage is usually tough making it difficult to be build your own organisation.
In conclusion, in order to build your own establishment is one of the reasons to be self empoyed. Also, lack of fund and getting suitable employees are the demerits of been your own boss.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give a reason for choosing self-employment—building a business and leaving a legacy—and identify two disadvantages, limited funding and difficulty recruiting suitable staff. The examples of a block-making business and passing achievements to one’s children help make the points relevant. However, the explanation of why people choose this path is narrower than the discussion of disadvantages, and several claims are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, explain more clearly how independence or control over decisions motivates people, rather than focusing mainly on inheritance and reputation. The recruitment point also needs a clearer link to the specific risks for a self-employed owner. Developing these ideas more evenly would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the reason and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To start with,” “Secondly,” and “Furthermore” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples generally appear beside the points they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some stronger control through paragraphing. However, the linking is sometimes mechanical, and long sentences—particularly the first body paragraph—combine several ideas without clear boundaries. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use a wider range of natural links, divide extended sentences, and make references such as “them” or “those” more precise to improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “self-employed,” “legacy,” “capital,” “employees,” and “establishment.” Some attempts at more specific language, such as “remitting returns” and “differentiate,” show an effort to express business-related concepts. However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, including “ones one organisation,” “lack of fund,” “demerits,” and “self fulfillment.” Spelling errors such as “willl,” “ownig,” and “empoyed” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall message, but they make parts of it less clear and natural. Build a bank of accurate business collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “who,” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, especially when sentences become long. For example, “most individuals prefer to build their own factories and companies which will yield income for them, making them to have…” contains a faulty verb pattern and an unclear chain of clauses. Other errors include “someone who want,” “without be answerable,” and “in order to build your own establishment is one of the reasons,” where agreement or sentence construction is faulty. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and some run-on sentences. Practise building accurate complex sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and separating independent ideas with full stops.
