Student answer (Band 5.5)
Currently, Numerous individuals choose to be self-employed or want to become a business man rather than to work under some others or work in any organisation and a company.
First of all, some of individuals want to be self-emplyed or a business man owing to, they don't want to work under any company. This is common in new generation that we commonly call genz because they are highly self dependent and want to do something by there own without any interferance they are highly skill full and they have power ideas to start their own business. Many of them recently start their small business to built their revenew for master plan and further success. If you are doing something by your own self and do it for only your self it give you wings to fly above the sky to become more pwerful. This gives strength to young generation also a motivation for all of them.
Moreover, There are numerous drawbacks of being self-employed due to the fact that, yoy don't have time for your own self and also don't have time for the family, your physical health also disturb due to this because you don't have time to maint your health, the other disadvantage is that you pay more attention towards your business rather than anything includes your health, family, friends and gettogethers.
For example; Recently i meet someone who was selfemployed and he was so intelligent but on the other hand he was phsically fit before become a self-employed but now he don't have for his self and also he was away from his family and friends this reason is he only person for their business to manage everything.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that younger people value independence and want to build their own businesses, and you identify reduced time for health, family and friends as disadvantages. The personal example of a self-employed person also supports the second point. However, the reasons for choosing self-employment remain broad, and the business example is not developed enough to show how independence or business ownership benefits people. The conclusion introduces management as important, but this idea is not explained in the main discussion. To strengthen the response, explain specific motivations—such as flexible working or control over decisions—and develop each disadvantage with a clear consequence or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for reasons and disadvantages, an example, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “For example” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from independence to business growth and then to “wings to fly” without clearly linking these ideas. Some transitions are mechanical, and references such as “this reason” and “it” do not always make the intended connection clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in sequence; use linking phrases only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “self-employed,” “business,” “drawbacks,” “motivation,” and “manage.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of your ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “power ideas,” “built their revenew,” and “maint your health.” Repetition of “self-employed,” “business,” and “time” also limits variety. Spelling errors, including “interferance,” “pwerful,” and “conlusion,” further affect clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases, such as “financial independence,” “manage a workload,” and “maintain a work–life balance,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and “due to the fact that.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “it give you wings” needs subject–verb agreement, while “he don't have for his self” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly in the first body paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check verb agreement and tense. Shorter, controlled sentences would make your ideas easier to understand.
