Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, Employement is a topic that many people talk about. Some people believe that self employed is better then working with a company, while others believe that working with a company is more effectient. In this essay, I will discuss both views. In my opinion, self employed should be promote because it makes the employee and people independent.
To begin with, some people refer self employment because they are mot want to stuck in a single place. This is because they want to earn more money to filfill there dreams. When people become self employed, they will provide much money to the government. This will also heols them to reduce the unemployment rate. for example, teenagers start working on social media and run therir small business. This shows that people interest to be self employed.
Onther oeople believe that, working for a comoany is much better. This means that when working for a company you be be less stressed. As a result, you can spent your life with a peace and will live much better life compare to working as a self employed.
In my opinion, self employed is better choice. The main reason is that when public do self work they will get a chance to face challenges. If people run their own they are more likely to successful. for example, social media influencersbwork as self employed. i believe that the new and upcoming generations should also adopt this mind set.
To conclude, although some people think that working for a organization is best. i believe that working as self employed or disconnected with a company is much efficient. this is mainly because less stressed and independence. Overall, self employed should be encouraged in modern society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by suggesting reasons for self-employment, such as earning more and avoiding being tied to one place, and by mentioning that company work may involve less stress. Your position in favour of self-employment is also stated. However, the response only partially develops the task: the disadvantages of self-employment are not clearly explained, and the comparison with company employment is brief. Some claims, such as self-employment providing “much money to the government,” are not explained or clearly connected to the question. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and directly discuss risks such as irregular income or lack of employee benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and phrases such as “To begin with,” “As a result” and “To conclude” help signal stages in the discussion. However, progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The opening promises to discuss “both views,” although the task asks for reasons and disadvantages, and the paragraph about company work does not clearly connect to the disadvantages of self-employment. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, and the conclusion repeats the preference without bringing the main points together. Organise the body around the two task questions and use clearer links to show how each example supports its point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “self-employed,” “unemployment rate,” “independent” and “challenges,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to read, for example “refer self employment,” “filfill there dreams,” “a peace” and “self work.” Repetition of “self employed” and “better” also limits precision. Choose natural phrases such as “choose self-employment,” “fulfil their dreams” and “earn a living,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the disadvantages—such as “financial insecurity” or “lack of paid leave”—would help you explain the topic more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If people run their own…” and a reason clause beginning “This is because…”. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “they are mot want to stuck,” “you be be less stressed,” and “people… will get a chance to face challenges”; these show problems with verb forms and sentence construction. There are also recurring errors with articles, agreement and punctuation, as in “a better choice” and the lowercase “i” after full stops. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with modal verbs and infinitives, and proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
