Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modren era, work is part of life and everyone is concerd about their work. Some people prefer to do work with industries or organization while others believe that self-employed is more beneficial for them. Therefore, mostly people choose to be self-work rather than to partnership with others. Here, I will try to justify my point of view and try to exlpain it with examples.

On the one hand, there are number of reason that people select to be self-work because they believe that owing own business is more benefical instead of working with other organizations or company.I think it is a good way to choose self-employed because it helps us in different ways such as improve our thinking skills, communication skills and build confident to deal on international level. For instance,a person work hard and creat own business which help his to gain new ideas about their products. Moreover, he easily work on international level that helps to improve his future goals.

On the other hand, there some other arguments that people work wants to work with company or well settled organization. They think that working with reputation industry helps them to build their career or makes future bright. However, there is few disadvantages to work sel-employed.Unless a person try to build their business without any experience may he get loss due to lack of practice or knowledge. Thus, I believe that well experienced is most important thing to select self-work.

In conclusion, there is some disadvantages of being self-employed just because of less knowledge or experience. However, it is good way to work with some factories or comapnies for future plans.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response recognises both parts of the question and gives a relevant reason for self-employment: owning a business may develop skills and allow someone to work internationally. It also identifies lack of experience or knowledge as a possible disadvantage. However, the explanation of why people choose this path remains limited, and the examples are general rather than clearly illustrating the point. The discussion of disadvantages is especially brief, while the paragraph about people choosing established companies shifts attention away from the question. The opening also promises a personal point of view, but the position is not consistently clear. Develop a small number of relevant reasons and disadvantages with specific explanations or examples, and keep each paragraph focused on the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrastive signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help indicate shifts, and the conclusion returns to the topic. However, progression is not consistently logical: the second body paragraph moves from employees’ reasons for working in established organisations to disadvantages of self-employment, so its central focus is unclear. Linking words such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “Thus” are used, but connections between some claims are not fully explained. References such as “it” and “they” can also leave the reader unsure which person or idea is meant. Organise the body around the two questions and use clearer links between each claim and its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “self-employed,” “business,” “organization,” “experience,” and “career,” so the main subject is generally understandable. It also attempts phrases such as “international level” and “future goals.” However, vocabulary is repetitive, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “self-work,” “work with industries,” “build confident,” and “get loss.” Spelling errors such as “modren,” “concerd,” “benefical,” and “comapnies” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build a more precise set of expressions for independence, income, risk and job security, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay attempts both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “Unless a person…” and a relative clause in “a person work hard and creat own business which help his…”. These attempts show some range, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to follow. Examples include “there are number of reason,” “there some other arguments,” and “a person work,” which show problems with articles, agreement and verb forms. Sentence boundaries and spacing after full stops are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add clauses using correct agreement and punctuation; for example, ensure singular subjects take singular verbs and that conditional clauses are followed by a complete main clause.
