Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main contrast: visitor numbers rose after refurbishment, and satisfaction was generally higher. You also report several survey figures accurately, including 30% satisfied and 40% dissatisfied before, and 40% satisfied and 15% dissatisfied after. However, the visitor total before refurbishment is given as 7,400 rather than 74,000, and the after-refurbishment figures are confused: 35% were very satisfied, not very dissatisfied. The overview also says the earlier visitor total was the lowest without clearly comparing the two periods, and the final paragraph repeats some details rather than selecting the key changes. Include both totals accurately and summarise the shift from dissatisfaction to satisfaction more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs for the two periods. This helps the reader locate the information. However, progression is weakened by repeated wording such as “the percentage of visitors who visited” and by unclear links between ideas. In the final paragraph, “35% of them are very dissatisfied” conflicts with the earlier overview and makes the comparison difficult to follow. Some connectors, including “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “However,” are used to list figures rather than show a clear relationship. Organise the details around the main changes—visitor totals and the shift in satisfaction—and use references such as “this proportion” only when their meaning is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt relevant vocabulary such as “refurbishment,” “percentage,” “dissatisfied,” and “satisfied,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. For example, “the percentage of travelers feelings how they were visit” does not express survey satisfaction naturally, while “museum recovery” and “after the construction” misdescribe refurbishment. Spelling errors such as “museume,” “comapre,” “dssatisfied,” and “respetivelly” are also noticeable. Use precise chart language consistently, such as “the proportion of respondents who were satisfied,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You make some attempts to combine information in longer sentences, for example, “Moreover, the visitors who visited Ashdown museum before decorated 10% and 5% visitors…” However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors can make the relationships between figures difficult to understand. The opening sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure, and phrases such as “35% of them are very dissatisfied” and “some of them they no response 5%” have problems with clause construction and pronouns. Tense and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “30% of them are satisfied” when describing the past. Practise clear patterns such as “Before refurbishment, 40% of respondents were dissatisfied,” and vary these with accurate comparison clauses.
