Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main overall changes: visitor numbers rose from 74,000 to 92,000, satisfaction increased, and the no-response share stayed at 5%. Most figures are reported accurately, including the 20-point rise in very satisfied visitors and the fall in dissatisfied visitors from 40% to 15%. However, the overview is somewhat unclear, and the change in the very dissatisfied group is not quantified accurately: it fell from 10% to 5%, a decrease of 5 percentage points. The response also falls one word short of the required 150 words. To strengthen coverage, state the key contrasts clearly in the overview and report the remaining category precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear four-part structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for increases and decreases. This makes the main comparisons reasonably easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “Overall” and “By contrast” help signal the organisation, and the figures are generally grouped by trend. However, some connections are awkward or incomplete, as in “increased by 20% ... and showing a follow up,” while “While” begins a fragment in the final paragraph. The overview’s semicolon also joins ideas in a way that obscures their relationship. Use complete sentences and make each paragraph’s comparisons progress more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “refurbishment,” “percentage,” “increased,” “declined,” and “constant,” so the reader can understand the comparisons. There is also some attempt to vary wording through “satisfaction” and “dissatisfied.” However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural choices reduce accuracy: “disatisfaction,” “reponse,” “broad dcline,” and “follow up” are problematic, while “ratio” is not the best term for these chart percentages. “The table list out” is also an awkward collocation. Check spelling carefully and prefer precise chart language such as “proportion” or “share”; this would make the vocabulary more controlled and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a contrast clause beginning “though” and a comparison introduced by “whereas.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “the table list out” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “the percentage of no response remain the same” needs a singular verb. The phrase “increased by 20% ... and showing” does not form a parallel construction, while “While, the ratio...” is an incomplete sentence and has incorrect punctuation. There are also inconsistent tense forms in the overview. Review agreement, sentence boundaries, and parallel verb structures while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
