Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main overall changes: visitor numbers rose after refurbishment, while dissatisfaction fell and satisfaction increased. You also report the very dissatisfied share correctly as falling from 10% to 5%. However, the response is incomplete and addresses the task only partially: it stops mid-sentence at “from 15 to” and omits key figures, including the total visitor counts (74,000 and 92,000) and the satisfied and dissatisfied comparisons. The overview is relevant, but “increased vastly” is not supported by a clear figure, and the survey categories are not fully summarised. The response is 101 words, below the required 150; this leaves the comparisons under-developed. Include a complete overview and report the most important figures for both periods.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, an overview and a detail paragraph. “Overall” and “On the other hand” signal relationships between ideas, so the reader can follow the broad contrast between rising satisfaction and falling dissatisfaction. However, progression is limited: the final paragraph begins a comparison but ends abruptly, and the response does not systematically move through the visitor totals and survey results. Some linking is awkward or inaccurate, as in “In contrast” followed by “as well as,” and the overview repeats the same general point about satisfaction. Use separate, complete paragraphs for the overview and key details, and group related figures so each comparison follows clearly from the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant task vocabulary, including “survey,” “dissatisfaction,” “renovated” and “increased,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, word-form and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “contentment” where “satisfaction” is more appropriate, “satisfection,” “dessatisfied,” “amound” and “daramtically.” Phrases such as “the figure of tourists” and “total sum of visitors” are also unnatural for describing these data. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language such as “the number of visitors,” “the proportion of respondents” and “fell from.” Proofread spelling and use the same precise terms for the survey categories throughout.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of sentence forms, including an overview sentence with “while” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, sentence construction and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “Dissatisfaction of tourists was to it's peak” has an incorrect construction, while “the dissatisfection decreased dramatically after renovation” lacks a clear grammatical subject referring to the survey proportion. “Very dessatisfied amount of visitors has been fall down” contains several errors in its verb phrase, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise forming clear comparisons with accurate past-tense verbs, for example, “The proportion who were very dissatisfied fell from 10% to 5%.” Check sentence boundaries and apostrophe use.
