Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both the visitor total and the satisfaction surveys, and your main comparison is relevant: attendance rose after refurbishment while dissatisfaction fell. The figures of 74,000 before refurbishment and 92,000 after are accurate. You also identify the broad survey pattern, but some details are vague: “Almost half” were dissatisfied before (40%), while after refurbishment the satisfied categories together accounted for 75% (35% very satisfied and 40% satisfied). The phrase “increased by 92,000” is inaccurate; 92,000 is the total after refurbishment, not the increase. Give the key percentages explicitly and distinguish the increase in attendance (18,000) from the final total. This would make the comparisons more precise and fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable overall shape: an introduction, discussion of the two periods, and a concluding overview. Linking words such as “However” and “Overall” help signal contrast and summary. However, progression is weakened by repetition: the opening sentences repeatedly explain what the table and graph show, and the final sentence restates the overview without adding a clear synthesis. Some references are also unclear, particularly “Each having diverse level of experiences” and “some show no response,” where the reader must infer which survey group is meant. Organise the report into a concise introduction, a clear overview, and paragraphs comparing the figures, using explicit references to each period and category.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing the charts, including “refurbishment,” “dissatisfied,” “satisfaction levels,” and “increased.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main topic. However, several choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “survey of satisfaction levels,” “number of visitor,” “abruptly visitor numbers increased by 92,000,” and “more satisfied.” “Each having diverse level of experiences” is also unclear. Choose standard chart-reporting collocations and use the exact category labels, such as “very satisfied” and “very dissatisfied.” Avoid using “increased by” when reporting a total; “rose to 92,000” is accurate. More precise vocabulary would make the comparisons easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of sentence forms, including contrast with “However” and a concluding sentence beginning “Overall.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “The survey provide” should be “The survey provides,” and “number of visitor” needs a plural noun and an article or possessive construction. “The survey … how refurbishment have an impact” also has a subject–verb agreement error and an awkward tense pattern. “Each having diverse level of experiences” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and articles. More accurate control of these basic patterns would make your ideas clearer.
