Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided data to support your points. You clearly contrasted the visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels before and after the refurbishment. However, the response lacks a clear overview paragraph, which is essential for a Band 7 or higher. Additionally, some data interpretation is slightly repetitive, and the structure could be more professional. To improve, ensure you group information logically and provide a concise summary of the most significant trends in the introduction or as a separate overview paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Before the renovation', 'After the renovation'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas between sentences and paragraphs. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of transition signals to show contrast and sequence more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely heavily on simple terms like 'big' or 'change' and repeat words like 'visitors' and 'renovation' frequently. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'significant increase', 'dramatic shift', or 'proportionate rise'. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'pie table' (it is a pie chart) and 'send table' (second table).

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include missing articles (e.g., 'according to table'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'visitors give' instead of 'gave'), and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage when describing past data will significantly improve your accuracy.
