Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully identifies the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You have made relevant comparisons between the two periods. However, the report could be improved by ensuring the data is presented more accurately. For instance, you mention '40% seems unsatisfied' before renovation, which is correct, but your description of the changes in the 'very satisfied' category is slightly imprecise. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly linked to the specific categories provided in the charts, and avoid minor inaccuracies in reporting the figures.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief summary. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'However', and 'Furthermore' to connect ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by slightly awkward phrasing, such as 'While, 5% of visitors do not give any response'. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, but the transition between the general overview and the specific data points could be smoother. Strengthening the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with more precision would improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, such as 'refurbishment', 'proportion', and 'significantly'. However, there are some word choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'number of people visit' (should be 'visiting') and 'this number changes their thoughts'. Additionally, 'of only 15% people' is grammatically awkward. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are natural and grammatically sound within the context of the sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'which increases to' (should be 'increased'), 'were now decreases' (should be 'decreased'), and 'neither before the refurbishment and nor after'. These errors occur frequently enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the information. Increasing your control over verb tense consistency and sentence construction will help you achieve a higher score.
