Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with specific data from the table and charts. However, the report could be improved by ensuring all data points are accurately described; for instance, you mention that the number of 'very satisfied' visitors doubled, which is a good analytical observation. To reach a higher band, ensure that you consistently compare the two periods rather than just listing them. The structure is logical, and you have covered all parts of the prompt effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'whereas', 'however', and 'in contrast' to link ideas effectively. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the visitor numbers from the satisfaction survey results. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions could be more sophisticated to avoid a slightly mechanical feel. Overall, the information is presented in a coherent manner that is easy to follow, and the progression of ideas is logical throughout the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'dissatisfied', and 'outcomes'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'The two diagram of pie chart', which should be 'The two pie charts'. You also use '40% percent', which is redundant as the symbol already represents the word. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing. Despite these minor slips, the vocabulary is adequate for the task and does not impede communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'the number for visitors' (should be 'of'), 'The two diagram of pie chart' (should be 'The two pie charts'), and 'Overall results being successful' (which is a fragment). While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To achieve a higher band, focus on subject-verb agreement and article usage. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will also help elevate your score in this criterion.
