Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is incomplete as it cuts off mid-sentence, failing to cover the data for the 'after' period or provide a full comparison. While the introduction and the first body paragraph attempt to address the prompt, the failure to complete the task significantly impacts the score. The word count is below the 150-word minimum, which is a major constraint. To improve, you must ensure all data points are covered and the response is fully developed. Currently, the analysis is truncated, meaning the key features and comparisons required by the task instructions are missing for the second half of the data set.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response shows a basic attempt at logical organization with an introduction, an overview, and a body paragraph. However, the abrupt ending prevents a coherent conclusion or a full progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used in a somewhat mechanical way (e.g., 'On the other side'). Paragraphing is present, but the lack of completion makes the overall structure feel fragmented. To achieve a higher band, ensure that your response is fully developed and that ideas flow logically from one point to the next using a wider range of linking words.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. Phrases like 'repairing the place' and 'restoration of place' are repetitive and slightly unnatural in an academic context. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'got dissatisfaction from museum'. To improve, try to use more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'renovation', 'refurbishment', or 'level of satisfaction'. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are noticeable errors. For example, 'The data illustrates, how many people...' contains an unnecessary comma, and 'people who visited museum after the refurbishment was 92,000' has a subject-verb agreement error ('people... were'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and punctuation rules, particularly regarding the use of commas in complex sentences.
