Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the task by summarizing the visitor numbers and satisfaction survey results. However, the reporting of data is often confusing and lacks clarity. For instance, the phrase 'the year before refurbishment lowest in 74,000' is grammatically awkward and makes the comparison difficult to follow. While the main features are identified, the lack of precise language and the repetitive structure hinder the overall impact. The comparison between the two years is attempted, but the data presentation is disorganized, making it difficult for the reader to grasp the trends effectively. To improve, focus on clearly stating the figures and using comparative language more accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into three short paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. The transition between the overview and the specific data points is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However' and 'In during after year', but they are often misused or placed awkwardly, which makes the progression of ideas feel mechanical and sometimes confusing. Referencing is also problematic; for example, 'same of very dissatisfied and no response' is unclear. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'year', 'results', and 'visitor' without much variation. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'highly response on dissatisfied' instead of 'a high percentage of dissatisfied responses'. The phrasing 'small different of satisfied' is also incorrect. To improve your score, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuated', 'significant', or 'majority', and ensure that your word choices are grammatically appropriate for the context of a report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with article usage ('the year before refurbishment'), prepositional errors ('In during after year'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack necessary verbs, such as 'the year before are highest responses'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to a lack of clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and using correct prepositions when describing data trends.
