Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response provides a clear overview and identifies the main trends, such as the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum requirement, which significantly impacts the score. Because the length requirement is not met, the development of ideas is limited, and some data points are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being fully integrated into a cohesive analytical report. To improve, you should expand on the comparisons between the two periods and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of the data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into a brief introduction and two body paragraphs. While there is a logical flow, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Before the renovation', 'after development', 'Oppositely'). The transition between the visitor numbers and the satisfaction survey results is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through the data analysis more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety expected at higher levels. You rely on basic descriptors such as 'very significant' and 'increased'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'visitor expression' instead of 'visitor satisfaction' and 'alternations' instead of 'alterations' or 'renovations'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'a substantial rise', 'a marked decline', or 'fluctuated', and ensure you are using the correct terminology for the data provided.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'number is increased with 92,000' (should be 'the number increased to 92,000'), 'in a same way' (should be 'in the same way'), and 'ratio of dissatisfied visitors faced a drop' (should be 'the proportion of dissatisfied visitors dropped'). There are also issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions will help improve your accuracy.
