Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You made relevant comparisons between the two periods. However, the overview is slightly confusing; stating that the year before refurbishment was 'highest in dissatisfied' is vague and lacks precision. Additionally, some data points are presented in a way that is difficult to follow, such as the comparison of 'very dissatisfied' percentages. To improve, ensure your overview clearly highlights the most significant trends rather than just listing categories, and double-check that all figures are clearly linked to the correct year and category to avoid ambiguity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'whereas', 'on the other hand', and 'moving further' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. For example, the sentence 'In results of surveys in before and after refurbishment dissatisfied was 40 and 15 percent' is clunky and lacks smooth integration. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbished', 'satisfaction level', and 'surveys'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'calibrated into percentage', 'satisfied masses', and 'did not surpass by 15 percent'. These errors occasionally make the text sound unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic collocations and avoid literal translations or word choices that do not fit the context of data reporting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. Examples include 'year before refurbishment was highest in dissatisfied' (missing subject/article), 'it show a considerably increase' (incorrect verb form and adjective usage), and '5 percentile of masses' (incorrect terminology). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions to improve your accuracy.
