Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For example, the description of the pie charts lacks precision, and the comparison between the two periods could be more analytical. While the key trends are identified, the report would benefit from a more structured approach to highlighting the most significant changes, such as the dramatic decrease in the 'dissatisfied' category post-refurbishment. The overview is present but could be more clearly integrated into the structure of the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally awkward, such as 'At the fleeting glance' and 'Moving ahead'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transitions between the table data and the pie chart data could be smoother. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when discussing the percentages in the pie charts, which makes the flow of information feel slightly disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'calibrated into percentage' instead of 'expressed as percentages' and 'the numbering of visitors reached to 92000'. Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'musuem' and 'refurbished' used as a verb in an incorrect context. To reach a higher band, you should aim for more precise terminology related to data description and avoid repetitive sentence structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'people who are dissatisfied is higher' (subject-verb agreement), 'After it get renovated' (tense error), and 'the most dissatisfied people is nearly about 40%' (redundant phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score in this criterion.
