Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main trends in the satisfaction surveys, such as the increase in 'very satisfied' visitors and the decrease in 'dissatisfied' ones. However, the task prompt mentions both the number of visitors and the satisfaction surveys. Your response focuses almost exclusively on the satisfaction percentages. You failed to report the actual visitor numbers (74,000 vs 92,000) provided in the table, which is a key feature of the data. To reach a higher band, you must ensure that all parts of the prompt—both the table and the charts—are addressed with equal attention. You provided a clear overview, but the omission of the visitor count data limits the task achievement score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and a body paragraph. You use some cohesive devices like 'Similarly', 'In addition', and 'However' to link your ideas. However, the progression is slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing is quite sparse. The transition between the overview and the specific details is clear, but the overall structure could be improved by grouping the data more effectively. For instance, separating the visitor numbers from the satisfaction data into distinct paragraphs would enhance the clarity and flow of your report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'calibrated', and 'proportion'. However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'At the fleeting glance' (should be 'At a fleeting glance' or 'At a glance') and 'population of visitors' (where 'proportion' or 'percentage' would be more accurate). Additionally, the phrase 'did not gave any response' contains a grammatical error that affects the precision of your vocabulary. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate for a data report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

Your writing contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that detract from the quality of the response. Examples include 'illustrates about the the total number' (unnecessary preposition and repeated article), 'did not gave' (incorrect verb tense after 'did'), and 'had growth of 10%' (missing article 'a'). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. Increasing your control over basic verb tenses and article usage will help you achieve a higher score.
