Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with specific data from the charts. However, the response could be improved by ensuring all data points are accurately described; for instance, the 'no response' category was mentioned but not quantified. Additionally, while you made comparisons, some of the phrasing is slightly informal (e.g., 'doubled up'). To reach a higher band, ensure that all comparisons are precise and that you avoid subjective commentary like 'it was great achievement', as the task requires an objective summary of the provided information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Regarding', 'Whereas', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions between sentences. For example, the final sentence of the second body paragraph is a run-on that lacks clear punctuation, making the progression of ideas feel slightly disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence clearly connects to the previous one without relying on repetitive structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'modernization', and 'survey'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'befor', 'refurbushment', 'remarkeble', and 'stisfied'. These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. Furthermore, some word choices are imprecise or repetitive. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on accurate spelling and expanding your vocabulary to include more sophisticated collocations related to data description, such as 'a significant rise' or 'a marked improvement', rather than relying on simpler descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include missing articles (e.g., 'number of visitors increased'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'total number of visitors were recorded'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'it was managed to decrease the dissatified'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and ensuring that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly to avoid run-on structures.
