Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you identified the key trends, the comparison between the two periods could be more analytical. For example, you mention the figures but do not fully synthesize the relationship between the increased visitor numbers and the improved satisfaction ratings. To reach a higher band, ensure you group the data more effectively and provide a clearer overview that highlights the most significant changes rather than just listing the percentages for each category.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Further more', and 'Beside that'. However, some of these transitions are used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'Beside that' is not standard usage for 'In addition'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a sophisticated progression of ideas. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the text read more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, such as 'refurbishment', 'satisfaction level', and 'negative reviews'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'visitors satisfaction' (should be 'visitor satisfaction'), 'before restored' (should be 'before the restoration'), and 'voted satisfied' (should be 'rated as satisfied'). The repetition of basic terms like 'went up' limits your score. Using more precise synonyms and paying closer attention to word forms will significantly enhance your lexical range and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('The table and pie chart presents'), missing articles ('the the number'), and incorrect verb forms ('Before rebuilt', 'after restored'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of quotation marks around percentages, which is unnecessary. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
