Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response covers the main features of both the table and the charts, providing a clear comparison between the two periods. You successfully identified the increase in visitor numbers and the shifts in satisfaction levels. However, the overview is slightly repetitive, and the reporting of data could be more concise. To reach a higher band, ensure that the overview synthesizes the information more effectively rather than simply listing the data points. You have addressed all parts of the prompt, but the development of the 'main features' could be more analytical by grouping similar trends together rather than describing each category in isolation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Overall' and 'As per the table', but the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. The use of referencing is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the table data and the survey data could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'renovation', and 'satisfaction'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'the No response visitors were remain unchanged' and 'it inceased much'. Spelling errors, such as 'inceased' and 'comparision', also occur. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your word forms are correct. Expanding your range of synonyms for 'increase' and 'decrease' would also help to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect readability. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('were remain'), missing articles ('the result of survey'), and punctuation errors, such as unnecessary commas after 'While' and 'As considering about'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, as these are recurring issues throughout your text. Proofreading for basic sentence construction will significantly improve your accuracy.
