Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum, which severely limits the ability to fully address the task. While you have identified the main trends in visitor numbers and satisfaction levels, the analysis is superficial. You have failed to provide a clear overview or synthesize the data effectively. Because the response is only 96 words, it fails to meet the basic requirements of the task, resulting in a low score for task achievement. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 150 words and provide a more detailed comparison of the data points rather than just listing changes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response lacks paragraphing, which is essential for a structured report. While there is a basic attempt at logical flow, the lack of cohesive devices makes the writing feel like a list of isolated sentences rather than a cohesive summary. There is no clear introduction or conclusion, and the transition between the visitor numbers and the satisfaction survey results is abrupt. To improve, you should organize your report into at least three paragraphs: an introduction, an overview of the main trends, and a detailed body paragraph comparing the specific data points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic verbs like 'increases', 'rises', and 'decreased' throughout the text. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'after the renovate the museum' (should be 'after the renovation of the museum') and 'visitors also down' (should be 'the number of visitors fell'). To achieve a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'witnessed a surge', 'experienced a decline', or 'remained stable'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'This table pie chart illustrate' (subject-verb agreement error), 'after the renovate the museum' (incorrect word form), and '5% Visitors also down' (incorrect structure). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with very few attempts at complex sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, correct use of articles, and varying your sentence structure by using subordinating conjunctions like 'while', 'whereas', or 'although' to compare the two periods.
