Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, as it is only 98 words long. Consequently, the response is significantly underdeveloped. While you have attempted to identify some main features, such as the increase in 'very satisfied' visitors and the decrease in 'dissatisfied' ones, the summary is incomplete. You have not fully reported on all the data provided in the table and charts, and the response ends abruptly mid-sentence. To improve, you must ensure you cover all parts of the task and provide a more comprehensive overview of the data trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear structure and logical progression. While there is an attempt at an introduction and an overview, the paragraphs are not well-developed, and the text ends prematurely. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic and sometimes mechanical way, such as 'Furthermore'. The lack of a proper conclusion and the incomplete nature of the final sentence significantly hinder the flow of information. To improve, you should focus on organizing your ideas into clear, distinct paragraphs with a logical sequence of information, using a wider range of linking words to connect your points effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to describe the data with precision. Phrases like 'very satisfied visitor goes 15 to 35 percentage' are grammatically awkward and lack the necessary lexical precision for an Academic Task 1 report. You rely on basic descriptors and struggle to use more sophisticated vocabulary to describe trends or changes. To improve, you should learn and apply specific vocabulary for describing data, such as 'increased significantly', 'declined sharply', or 'remained stable', and ensure you use these terms in the correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'This table illustrate' (subject-verb agreement), 'the after increment in a year it was refurbished' (awkward phrasing), and 'there are more slightly changes' (incorrect word form). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex structures. The incomplete final sentence also demonstrates a lack of control over sentence construction. To improve, you should focus on basic subject-verb agreement, correct word order, and practice using a variety of complex sentence structures accurately.
