Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the task achievement score. Because the response is incomplete and stops abruptly mid-sentence, it fails to report on all the main features of the data provided. While there is an attempt to identify a trend, the lack of development and the failure to cover the full scope of the charts mean the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a complete overview and support your points with data from both the table and the charts, ensuring you meet the minimum word count.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear structure due to its unfinished nature. While there is an attempt at an introductory sentence, the progression of ideas is halted by the incomplete text. Cohesive devices are used in a limited way, such as 'At a first glance' and 'From the given statistics', but the overall flow is disrupted by the abrupt ending. To improve, focus on organizing your report into clear paragraphs: an introduction, an overview of the main trends, and specific details comparing the two periods. Ensure each paragraph has a logical connection to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is somewhat repetitive and basic. Phrases like 'elucidates the information' and 'overall increment' are attempts at academic tone, but there are errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'Ashdowm' and 'intialised'. The range of vocabulary is limited by the brevity of the response, preventing the demonstration of more sophisticated or precise language. To improve, focus on using more varied synonyms for 'increase' and 'satisfaction' and ensure you proofread for spelling errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors, such as 'number of tourists to Ashdowm museum' (missing 'the'), 'visited after the refurbishment' (incorrect participle usage), and 'conclusion of vistitors' (incorrect word choice). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and the unfinished nature of the text makes it impossible to assess a wider range of complex structures. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practice writing complete, error-free sentences before attempting more complex structures.
