Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of the data, including the visitor numbers and the shifts in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat inconsistent. While you identify the increase in visitors and the general improvement in satisfaction, the reporting of specific data points is occasionally confusing or inaccurate (e.g., stating 'no big difference' when comparing 40% and 30%). The summary of the survey results lacks precision, and some comparisons are difficult to follow due to grammatical errors. To reach a higher band, ensure that data is presented clearly and that comparisons are logically linked to the trends observed in the charts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'before' and 'after' without sufficient variety. Some sentences are poorly connected, and the flow between ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph where the transition between different satisfaction categories is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'big difference', 'reconstruction', and 'redevelopment' throughout the text. There are also instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'visitors how are 30% satisfied' and 'survey accounted the proportion of very satisfied was boomed'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of the message. To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'significant increase', 'fluctuation', or 'proportion', and focus on using these words in their correct collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the table chart illustrates'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'the survey accounted the proportion of very satisfied was boomed'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors, such as '15% of people, which accounted as they were dissatisfied'. The range of structures is limited, and the frequent errors in basic grammar and punctuation mean that the reader must work harder to understand the intended meaning.
