Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the ability to cover all parts of the task. While you attempt to describe the data, the report lacks a clear overview and fails to make meaningful comparisons between the two periods. You mention specific percentages, but the analysis is superficial and does not highlight the main trends or significant changes in visitor satisfaction. To improve, you must ensure you meet the word count and provide a structured summary that contrasts the 'before' and 'after' data points effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response lacks a clear logical progression. It is written as a single paragraph, which makes it difficult to follow the transition between the 'before' and 'after' periods. Cohesive devices are largely absent, and the sentences feel disjointed. For example, the transition 'Then after the refurbishment...' is abrupt and does not effectively link the two sections of the report. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing to separate the introduction, overview, and body details, and employ linking words such as 'in contrast,' 'subsequently,' or 'whereas' to connect your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple terms like 'satisfied' and 'dissatisfied.' There is little attempt to use academic or descriptive language appropriate for a data report. Furthermore, there are errors in word choice and form, such as 'did not gives response' and 'those are in less amount.' To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including synonyms and precise terminology related to data analysis, such as 'proportion,' 'significant increase,' or 'majority.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('Many visitors... have dissatisfied'), tense usage, and sentence structure ('they are is less amount'). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring consistent tense usage when describing past data, and practicing the correct use of articles and prepositions. Developing more complex sentence structures will also help improve your score.
