Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While you have identified some key features, such as the visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels, the analysis is superficial. You have not fully compared the data between the two periods, and the lack of detail means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a comprehensive overview, include all relevant data points, and extend your analysis to meet the length requirement, which will allow for a more thorough exploration of the trends presented in the charts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt to separate the charts into paragraphs, the progression of ideas is disjointed. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas, making the text feel like a list of observations rather than a cohesive report. The use of referencing is also weak, with phrases like 'in first chart' and 'on this time' appearing unnatural. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in contrast', or 'consequently' to connect your sentences and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'chart', 'visitors', and 'satisfied'. There are also errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'refubishment' and 'satefieid'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'experienced a significant increase', or 'the proportion of'. You should also focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations to describe the trends shown in the charts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is basic and contains frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with article usage (e.g., 'in first chart'), sentence structure (e.g., 'there are less visitor visit to museum'), and punctuation. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures. To improve, you should practice using complex sentences with subordinate clauses (e.g., 'While the number of visitors increased, the level of satisfaction also saw a positive shift'). Additionally, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions.
