Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, including the visitor numbers and the satisfaction levels for both periods. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear, analytical overview. While the key figures are identified, the comparison between the two periods could be more effectively synthesized. For instance, the transition from 'dissatisfied' to 'satisfied' is noted, but the specific shifts in the 'very satisfied' and 'very dissatisfied' categories are presented as a list of figures rather than a cohesive comparison. To improve, focus on grouping the data to highlight the most significant trends rather than reporting every figure individually.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as the frequent use of 'however' and 'while' at the start of sentences. Some transitions feel forced, and the logical progression between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow would benefit from a more varied range of linking words and better integration of the data points within the sentences to create a smoother narrative.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'before renovated' instead of 'before the renovation' and 'people got satisfied' instead of 'visitors reported higher satisfaction'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying heavily on the words provided in the prompt. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'experienced a rise', 'a significant shift', or 'the proportion of visitors'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. There are consistent issues with verb tenses and word forms, such as 'before renovated' and 'after reconstruction it'. Additionally, there are errors in sentence structure, including missing articles and incorrect preposition usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of control over complex sentence structures and the persistence of basic errors in subject-verb agreement and word order limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
