Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the overall increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with specific figures from the table and charts. However, the response could be improved by ensuring the data is presented more accurately. For instance, you mention the 'very satisfied' category shifting from 15-35, but it is unclear if these are percentages or raw numbers. Additionally, the description of the 'no response' category is slightly confusing. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly labeled and that comparisons between the two years are more explicitly linked to the museum's refurbishment.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'First thing which is noticeable', and 'Moreover' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical phrasing, such as 'First thing which is noticeable is that'. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when discussing the categories in the pie chart. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to the main task of comparing the two periods.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'redesigned', 'renovation', and 'surges'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that slightly hinder the precision of your writing. For example, 'satisfactory factor' is not a standard collocation; 'satisfaction levels' would be more appropriate. Additionally, phrases like 'dissatisfactory portion' and 'no response category remains unchanged' are understandable but could be more naturally phrased. Expanding your range of academic vocabulary and focusing on precise collocations will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. For instance, 'has fell down' should be 'has fallen', and 'has been fell' is grammatically incorrect. There are also issues with preposition usage, such as 'increase regarding to'. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some inconsistencies in how you present data in parentheses. To improve, focus on mastering verb tenses and ensuring subject-verb agreement. Practicing the use of complex sentences with fewer errors will help you move toward a higher band.
