IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The illustration compares the total annual visitors of Ashdown Museum before and after it's renovation as well as a list of survey from visitors comparing their satisfaction rate of the Museum from before and after the renovation has been done.

Overall, more visitors came to visit the museum after it's renovation with 92,000 tourists, when ony 74,000 visits were made the year prior the revonation.

In addition, the survey reveals that prior to the renovation of the museum 40% of the tourists were disassatisfied, 30 % were satisfied, 15% very satisfied, 10% were very dissatisfied and around 5% provided no response.

In contast, the survey revealed a more improvement on the satisfaction rate after the refurbishment with almost one out of two half of the responders were satisfied, 35% said they were very satisfied, 15% expressed dissatisfaction, and around 5% expressed a very dissatisfied survey and the other 5% held no response..
