Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the task by summarizing the main features of the table and charts. You successfully identified the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the response lacks precision in reporting data. For example, you mention a '10% and 20%' increase in satisfaction without clearly specifying which categories these refer to. Furthermore, the description of the visitor numbers is slightly inaccurate, as the table shows an increase from 74,000 to 92,000, which is an 18,000 increase, but the phrasing 'upto 18000 more' is slightly ambiguous. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly linked to their respective categories and that the overview is more comprehensive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'And dissatisfied people has drastically declined' at the start of a paragraph is informal and repetitive. The use of 'and' to start sentences is frequent, which disrupts the flow. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words such as 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'in contrast' to connect ideas more fluidly. The logical progression is present but could be strengthened by better signposting between the table data and the survey results.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is limited and contains several errors in word choice and spelling. Examples include 'forehead' (likely meant 'before'), 'incresed,' and 'i happy tourist.' These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There is a lack of sophisticated vocabulary; instead of repeating 'count' or 'people,' try using terms like 'figures,' 'proportion,' 'respondents,' or 'attendees.' Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs would also help in providing a more precise summary of the trends shown in the charts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourism has been increased,' 'dissatisfied people has drastically declined') and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing capital letters. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and using more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or passive voice, to describe the data more accurately.
