IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The table illustrates number of visitors before and after development of Ashdown museum while the set of pie charts describe the proportion of tourists satisfaction.
It can be observed that from the table, while 74,000 people visited Ashdown museum before modification, 92,000 individuals went to museum after development.
It can be seen from first pie chart, before changes, the most people with 40% were not satisfied with museum facilities. This was followed by 30% who satisfied with amenities. Visitors with 15% very satisfy museum whereas 10% disappointed with it. 5% tourists who did not want to give response. However, after changes, the largest amount of people which was 40% satisfied with museum facilities. There were 35% individuals very satisfied with changes. People who were not happy was accounted for 15%. Very disatiesfied and no response people were stood at 5%.
Overall, although there were less people visited Ashdown museum before development, more visitors went to museum after modification.
