Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, but the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you correctly identify the increase in satisfaction levels, the report lacks a clear integration of the visitor numbers from the table. You mention the table in the introduction but fail to provide the specific data points (74,000 to 92,000) in the body paragraphs. Furthermore, the comparison of percentages is occasionally confusing, such as the statement '25 percent more before repairing,' which is mathematically unclear. To improve, ensure all data sets are explicitly referenced and comparisons are stated with greater precision.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and somewhat mechanical use of cohesive devices. Phrases like 'First of all,' 'After that,' and 'Besides this' are used in a way that feels like a list rather than a cohesive analysis. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when discussing the survey results, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the two periods. Using a wider variety of linking words and improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic descriptors like 'huge number' and 'extremely less,' which are not ideal for academic reporting. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'dissatisfied proportion of visitors' and 'no response visitors.' To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to data trends, such as 'a significant increase,' 'a notable decline,' or 'the proportion of respondents.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The total number of visitors... are given,' 'the number of very dissatisfied visitors are more') and awkward phrasing ('there are more dissatisfied visitors proportion'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods in several instances. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring correct sentence structure will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
