Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. You provided specific data points to support your observations, such as the rise in 'very satisfied' visitors from 15% to 35%. However, there is a significant error in your data reporting: you stated that 'very dissatisfied' visitors decreased to 50% from 30%, which is mathematically impossible and contradicts the chart. Additionally, ensure you refer to the subject consistently; you refer to the museum as a 'park' in several instances, which is inaccurate. To reach a higher band, ensure all data points are transcribed accurately and maintain focus on the specific entity provided in the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Overall' and 'In addition', to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by mechanical phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the inconsistent terminology (museum vs. park) creates some confusion for the reader.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'dramatically', and 'constant'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'number for dissatisfied people' instead of 'the number of dissatisfied people' and 'More amount of people' instead of 'A greater number of people'. Furthermore, the repetition of 'people' and 'satisfied' limits the sophistication of your writing. To improve, focus on using more precise quantifiers and synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing and ensure your word choices are contextually appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect the flow of the text. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'The pie Chart' vs 'The pie chart'), incorrect preposition usage, and errors in subject-verb agreement. For instance, 'percentage of people that did not replied' should be 'did not reply'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic tense consistency and article usage to improve your accuracy.
