IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The table displays the number of people who visited Ashdown Museum during the previous year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts illustrates the result of visitor statisfy during their visit, in the same two periods.
Overall, it is evidence that during the year after refurbishment total number of visitors to Ashdown Museum increase sharply compared to the previous year. In addition the majority of people were statisfied after in the year after Ashdown Museum refurbished.
During the year before refurbishment, the total number of visitors to Ashdown Museum were only stood at 74,000 people, as long as the result of surveys of visitor statisfaction showed 40 percent of people felt dissatisfied with only 10 percent of people extremely dissatisfied. Although, only 30 percent of people statisfied and 15 percent of them are very happy. while 5 percent of them have no feedback.
By contrast, after refurbishment, the total visitors increased significantly to 92,000 visitors during this period. In addition the results of the surveys of statisfaction showed that 40 percent of them were very statisfied and 35 percent of them extremely statisfied, and only 15 percent of them
