Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 71 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The response provides a brief introduction and a very limited overview, but it fails to report on the main features of the data or make the necessary comparisons between the two periods. The information provided is too sparse to constitute a summary of the provided charts. To improve, you must describe the data in detail, including specific figures for the different satisfaction categories before and after the refurbishment, and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full development of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is very short, consisting of only two short paragraphs. While there is a basic attempt at an introduction and an overview, the lack of length prevents the development of a coherent structure. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, and the progression of information is disjointed. To improve, you should aim to structure your response with a clear introduction, a detailed body paragraph, and a concluding overview, using linking words such as 'whereas', 'in contrast', or 'subsequently' to connect your observations logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is quite limited and repetitive. There are errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'diassatisfied' and 'highly visitors', which hinder clarity. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the ability to discuss data trends or satisfaction levels effectively. To improve, you should learn specific collocations for describing data, such as 'a significant increase', 'a marked improvement', or 'the majority of respondents'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise terms for describing survey results will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('The table chart illustrate', 'The charts compares') and awkward phrasing ('maximum result of surveys... are 40% diassatisfied highly visitors'). The sentence structures are simple and lack the complexity required for higher bands. There are also punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Practice writing more complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions to better connect your ideas and demonstrate a wider range of grammatical structures.
