Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While you have identified the main features—the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels—the analysis is incomplete. You have not fully reported on all categories in the pie charts, and the data provided for the 'very dissatisfied' and 'dissatisfied' categories is confusing and contains factual errors based on the provided image. To improve, ensure you cover all data points provided in the prompt and provide a more comprehensive overview of the trends rather than just listing isolated figures.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt at an introduction and an overview, the body paragraphs are poorly developed and lack logical progression. The use of cohesive devices is very limited, making the text feel like a list of disjointed sentences rather than a cohesive report. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in contrast', or 'consequently' to connect your ideas and ensure each paragraph has a clear focus, such as one for visitor numbers and one for satisfaction levels.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'refurnished' instead of 'refurbished' and 'raate' instead of 'rate'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe trends accurately; for example, you rely on simple verbs like 'rose' and 'declined' without using more precise academic language to describe the scale of change. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of synonyms and collocations appropriate for describing data, such as 'experienced a surge' or 'remained relatively stable'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., '30% visitors very dissatisfied'), incorrect preposition usage ('rose at 40%'), and missing articles. The sentence structures are mostly simple, with very few attempts at complex sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses when describing past data, and proofreading for common errors like missing 'the' or 'of'. Increasing the variety of sentence structures will also help improve your score.
