Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels post-refurbishment. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with specific data from the table and charts. However, to reach a higher band, ensure you make more direct comparisons between the two periods rather than just describing them in isolation. For instance, you could explicitly contrast the 40% dissatisfaction rate before the refurbishment with the 15% rate after. Overall, you have covered all parts of the task well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and two body paragraphs. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'Looking at the table', and 'On the other hand' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try to use a wider range of linking words and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'the same', 'the latter') is used more precisely to avoid repetition. Paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the overall clarity of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly. You use terms like 'refurbishment', 'satisfaction rate', and 'proportion' correctly. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'visiting the side' (should be 'site') and 'almost same' (should be 'almost the same'). To improve, try to incorporate more varied synonyms for 'increase' or 'decrease' and use more precise collocations to describe statistical data, which would elevate the sophistication of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'The table illustrates about' (remove 'about'), 'number of visitor' (should be 'visitors'), and 'dissatisfied rat' (should be 'rate'). Additionally, there are some issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will significantly improve your performance.
