Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For example, the statement 'audeince need basic upgrade to enhance their experience' is an unnecessary subjective comment that does not report on the provided data. While the key figures are mentioned, the comparison between the two periods could be more analytical. The response identifies the main trends but lacks a clear overview or summary paragraph that synthesizes the information effectively, which is a requirement for a higher band score in Task 1.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by repetitive sentence structures and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. While some linking words like 'However' and 'Moreover' are used, they are often placed at the start of sentences in a mechanical way. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'the data is changed', which does not specify what data is being referred to. The progression of ideas is generally understandable, but the lack of varied transitions makes the writing feel somewhat disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains several spelling errors, such as 'mueseum', 'satisfird', 'satisdied', and 'vistors'. The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple descriptors. There is little attempt to use less common lexical items or precise terminology related to data reporting. Phrases like 'a huge change' are informal and lack the precision expected in an academic report. To improve, you should focus on using more varied synonyms for 'increase', 'decrease', and 'percentage' to avoid repetition and demonstrate a wider range of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the number of people who is super satisfied'), incorrect verb forms ('before refurbished'), and missing articles. The sentence structures are predominantly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. When complex structures are attempted, they often contain errors, such as 'the vistors who is ver satisfied is 35 percent'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly regarding spacing after commas and periods. A greater focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading is necessary.
