Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response successfully identifies the main trends in both the table and the pie charts. You have clearly highlighted the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the report lacks a clear overview that synthesises the data effectively; the final paragraph attempts this but is somewhat disjointed. Additionally, there is a missing figure in the second paragraph regarding the 'dissatisfied' category after refurbishment, which impacts the completeness of the data reporting. To improve, ensure all data points are clearly stated and provide a more cohesive summary of the overall trends in the introduction or conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices like 'In contrast' and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, starting sentences with 'In detail' or 'Whereas' (when used as a sentence starter) is not entirely natural. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, and the connection between the sentences in the final paragraph could be smoother to better reflect the overall change in visitor sentiment.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'redevelopment', 'refurbishment', and 'accounted for'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'satisfactory level' instead of 'satisfaction level' and 'dissatisfactory' used as a noun instead of 'dissatisfaction'. The phrase 'majority proportion once registered for dissatisfied' is also quite awkward and lacks precision. To reach a higher band, focus on using more accurate collocations and ensuring that word forms (nouns vs. adjectives) are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Issues include missing articles (e.g., 'surveyed for no response'), incorrect preposition usage, and incomplete data reporting (e.g., '% respectively' without a number). There are also some punctuation errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'the majority proportion... was change drastically'. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent sentence structure will help improve your accuracy.
