Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the table and charts, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For example, while you mention the increase in visitor numbers, you do not clearly contrast the specific figures (74,000 to 92,000). The description of the survey results is also slightly confusing, particularly the phrasing 'more than half of their very satisfied people get rise'. To reach a higher band, ensure that data points are clearly linked to the trends described and that comparisons between the two periods are more precise and explicitly stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Therefore, it ised by' and 'Subsequently, dis-satisfaction are downfall' do not flow naturally and sometimes create confusion regarding the logical connection between sentences. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult to track which data point is being discussed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'consequently', 'furthermore') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. For instance, 'downfall' is used incorrectly to describe a decrease in percentages, and 'ised' is a non-existent word. There is also a reliance on basic descriptors like 'get rise' or 'get declined'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the presence of errors in word formation prevent a higher score. You should aim to use more academic vocabulary appropriate for describing data, such as 'experienced a decline', 'surged', or 'remained stable'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'The table and pie charts illustrates', 'visitors are increases') and tense inconsistencies. The sentence structures are relatively simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors that impede clarity, such as 'more than half of their very satisfied people get rise'. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb tenses are consistent when describing past data.
