Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the table and charts, identifying the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the reporting of data is inconsistent and lacks precision. For example, while you mention '40%' for dissatisfaction, you fail to clearly contrast this with the 'very satisfied' or 'satisfied' categories in a way that fully highlights the trends. The overview is present but could be more analytical by synthesizing the relationship between the refurbishment and the change in visitor sentiment. Some data points are mentioned, but the comparison between the two years is underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To begins with' and 'Moreover'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the table data and the survey data. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult to track which specific data point belongs to which category. While there is an attempt at logical sequencing, the lack of sophisticated linking words limits the flow of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'people opinion towards dissatisfied' and 'on the same scale'. You rely on basic descriptors like 'growth' and 'increased' rather than more varied academic vocabulary. Spelling and word-form errors, such as 'illustrate' (should be 'illustrates') and 'reconstructed' (refurbished is more accurate in this context), are noticeable and occasionally impede the clarity of the information provided.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, for example, 'The table illustrate' and 'there is rise of visitors'. There are also errors with articles and prepositions, such as 'visit museum' instead of 'visit the museum'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors means that the response does not demonstrate the control required for a higher band. Punctuation is also inconsistent throughout the text.
