Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the response lacks a clear overview or summary statement that synthesizes the trends. You have listed the data points for both years, but you have not made sufficient comparisons between the two periods. To improve, you should group the data more logically and explicitly contrast the 'before' and 'after' figures rather than listing them in separate paragraphs. Ensure you highlight the most significant changes, such as the substantial improvement in visitor satisfaction levels following the refurbishment.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures and lack transition words to connect ideas between sentences or paragraphs. For example, the transition between the data points is mechanical, and the use of 'but' is frequent and repetitive. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider range of linking words such as 'in contrast,' 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'whereas' to show the relationship between the data points more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is adequate to convey the basic information, but it is quite repetitive and lacks the precision required for an academic report. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'visitors to visit the museum' and 'the number of,' which makes the writing feel monotonous. There are also some errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'catagories' and 'befre refurnished.' To improve, try to use a broader range of synonyms and more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion,' 'percentage,' 'fluctuated,' or 'remained stable.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The table show'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'the satisfied visitors is double 30%'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which limits your ability to express relationships between data points accurately. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and attempt to incorporate more complex structures, such as relative clauses or passive voice, to describe the data more professionally.
