Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response covers all parts of the task, providing a clear summary of the data. You successfully identified the main features, such as the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. The comparison between the two periods is well-integrated. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are described with complete accuracy; for instance, you mentioned '35% after refurbishment' compared to '15% before', which is accurate, but ensure your overview remains strictly analytical rather than evaluative (e.g., avoiding the phrase 'proving that it was a good decision'). Overall, the information is well-selected and presented clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'During the year before', and 'Regarding the survey' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'on the other hard' (a typo for 'hand'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the visitor numbers from the survey results. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words to create a more natural flow between sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'refurbishment', 'significantly increased', and 'dissatisfaction rate'. There are some spelling errors, such as 'refurshbishment', 'dissattisfied', and 'hard' instead of 'hand'. While these do not impede communication, they prevent a higher score. You attempt to use less common vocabulary, but some collocations are slightly awkward, such as 'accounted only to' (should be 'accounted for'). Increasing your precision with word choice and ensuring accurate spelling will help elevate your score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the total number of visitors are accounted') and preposition errors ('reached to 35%'). Additionally, there are tense inconsistencies, such as 'before the refurbishment happens' (should be 'happened'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage when describing past data.
