Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, including the increase in visitor numbers and the shift in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you mention the increase from 74,000 to 92,000, the description of the survey results is confusing and lacks precision. For instance, you mention '40 percent of persons were satisfied' and '15 percent were dissatisfied' without clearly linking these to the specific survey categories or the correct time period. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are accurately transcribed and that comparisons between the two periods are more clearly articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Moving further' and 'After that' are used in a way that feels disjointed rather than creating a smooth flow of information. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which data point belongs to which category. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'the value accounted of visitors id 74000' and 'more value is gained'. Spelling errors like 'obversed' (observed) and 'reburbishment' (refurbishment) also occur. To improve, focus on using more academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'figures', 'proportion', and 'significant increase', and pay closer attention to spelling and standard word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('pie chart demonstrate'), missing articles ('in case of table chart'), and awkward phrasing ('in case of after refurbishment'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be beneficial.
