Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the table and charts, identifying the increase in visitor numbers and the shifts in satisfaction levels. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical, simply listing figures rather than synthesizing the data effectively. The overview is present but lacks clarity due to grammatical issues. While all parts of the task are addressed, the lack of sophisticated comparison and the reliance on a list-like structure limits the development of the response. To improve, focus on grouping data points logically and using more analytical language to describe trends rather than just stating the numbers.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by repetitive sentence structures and a lack of varied cohesive devices. The use of 'before the year' and 'after the year' is repetitive and makes the text feel disjointed. Transitions between sentences are often missing or awkward, such as 'therefore there a huge difference found us'. While the overall progression is discernible, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the writing feel mechanical. Improving the use of referencing and transition signals would significantly enhance the readability and logical flow of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'amount of tourist' instead of 'number of tourists' and 'it was rise to' instead of 'it rose to'. The student relies on basic terminology and struggles to use precise language to describe statistical changes. There is no attempt to use less common lexical items. To reach a higher band, you should expand your range of vocabulary to include synonyms for 'increase' and 'decrease' and focus on using nouns and verbs correctly in a statistical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are significant issues with verb tense consistency, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. For example, 'the pie charts compares' should be 'the pie charts compare', and 'no response will be come the' is unintelligible. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with errors. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and punctuation is inconsistent. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a good starting point for improvement.
