Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the task by summarizing the provided data, but it lacks a clear overview of the main trends. While you mention the increase in visitor numbers, the satisfaction data is presented in a fragmented way without synthesizing the key shifts (e.g., the move from dissatisfaction to satisfaction). The data reporting is somewhat inaccurate; for instance, you state 'maximum visitors are dissatisfied about 40%' before refurbishment, which is a misinterpretation of the chart. To improve, focus on identifying the most significant changes, such as the overall rise in visitor numbers and the positive shift in sentiment post-refurbishment, rather than listing every percentage point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive. Phrases like 'Before refurbishment' and 'After refurbishment' are used to transition, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed. There is a lack of logical progression between sentences, making the text feel like a list of observations rather than a cohesive summary. To improve, use a wider range of linking words such as 'consequently,' 'in contrast,' or 'furthermore' to connect ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'visitors,' 'satisfied,' and 'dissatisfied.' There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'rasio' (ratio), 'vary' (very), and 'not response' (no response). These errors occasionally make the meaning unclear. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion,' 'percentage,' 'fluctuation,' or 'significant increase,' and ensure correct spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'The visitors are increased' (passive voice error), 'The 30% visitor are satisfied' (subject-verb agreement), and 'the visitors are visit the museum' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice for describing data.
